Dutch's products has a big trust in the Iraqi Markets

Sixty years and Dutch’s old radio device still working and worth 300 $ in Baghdad

(Wa’el) is swaying thrill as he listening to a modern song via an old radio, that radio is looks like a big wooden box comparing with the modern radio devices, and has (Philips) logo on it, and it is for sale in one of antiques shops in the middle of Baghdad.
 
This radio has been made since around 60 years ago, with the price of three hundreds American’s dollars per unit in specialist shops for vary kind of antiques and old rugs and statues which represent the story of the history and the civilization of Iraq upon around 7 thousands year.

(Ali Finjan) the shop owner of one of the antiques shops say with a trusting smile on his face “this radio is turn to an artwork”, because of it is connected to “the memory and the history of modern Iraq at the very end of the kingdom era and the very beginning of the republic era during the period of forty decade until sixty decade of the last century, were people used to gathering around similar radio in their own houses or in the public café to listen to the news and the statements announced by the   military coups or about the political crises at that time.
(Mr. Finjan) said that many of Iraqi drama producers are interesting to buy such devices, so that they can put it in some scenes in the historical series about the Iraq in the middle of 20th century like (King Ghazi series) and (Mannawi Pasha Series).
The radio needs few minutes to start running because of it contain vacuumed tubes inside (Iraqi people called the vacume tubes as lamps) which get made before the transistor get invented.
The trust in Dutch's products
  (Ya’rub Kahtan) is preferring the European’s products in general and Dutch's products in special, because of “the quality and the reliability despite the high prices” confirming that such products “have a big trust in the community”. Mr. Kahtan is shopping from the official agents of the international companies to avoid the “fake products” as he said.
(Ahmad Sameer) the chairman of (Al O’la Company), the main agent of Philips company in Iraq, confirmed that “Dutch's products get a huge success in different countries, also he said “Dutch's products have a very good reputation in Iraqi markets”
Also, he referred to the large turnout of Iraqi citizens to the Dutch's companies suites at Baghdad International affair which held under the Sponsored of the Dutch Ambassador in Iraq. Also, Mr. Sameer Demand the Dutch government to give Banking facilities to the Iraqi merchants and give them visa to come to Netherlands in order to complete their businesses.
 Similar products but different logos
Just like other famous international brands, the Dutch products are under the risk of faking and counterfeiting of its products, as Mr. Sameer complains that some merchants puts stickers of famous logo on the fake and bad quality products, to take advantage of “the good reputation of famous logo like Philips between Iraqi people”, also he demand the Iraqi government to do something to prevent all this.
(Abdullah Mohannad) one to the electrical lighting products merchants in (Al Shorja trading market) in the middle of Baghdad said “there are small amount of original Dutch's products in the market”, also, he said “most times there are electrical products in the markets and seems to be very similar in its shape and method of made but has different logos”, thus he think that they all came from the same factory!.
Also, (Mr. Mohannad) said “most of those fake products comes from China, and it is really hard for most people to say which product is the original one and which one is not via the shape only, but in the same time it is easy to recognize it by using and by it is low prices.
